The purpose of the Adventist Community Services (ACS) is to serve the poor and hurting in Christ’s name. ACS is the United States branch for domestic relief and social action of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), an agency established by the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the specific purposes of community development and disaster relief. ACS is recognized as the national relief and community action agency of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bermuda, Canada and the United States. It is incorporated as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization and has entered into written agreements with the national government for Bermuda and the United States.
